Todd Ridlon, CFSC L1, USA Hockey L4
Todd is a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC, Level-1) and a USA Hockey certified Level-4 Coach, with a passion for all things leadership, discipline and positivity. Todd joined our Coastal Team after serving twenty three years right here in our Brunswick community as a police officer.
Todd developed self-esteem and “Bullyproof” programs in the local elementary schools; while also having the pleasure to guest speak on Team Building, Leadership and Accountability with the Bowdoin College men’s baseball and hockey programs. It is Todd’s personal mission to help those he comes in contact with, to recognize the importance of discipline, accountability, humility and vulnerability and how these employed traits will improve their daily lives.
Todd has coached hockey from U6 to U18, provided one-on-one training for general population male and female adult clients, coordinated sport/job specific strength and conditioning programs for police officers, firefighters, and high school athletes. The overwhelming focus of his coach and client journey is to create a connection while ensuring everyone will learn to move well, feel better and live stronger. Todd’s philosophy is that Well Done > Well Said and to lead by example; while striving to create a fun training environment by way of sweat equity. “Hard work always wins, sometimes we just don’t know when.”
Todd’s law enforcement career included over nineteen years in emergency services, with him retiring as the Team Leader for the Special Response Team. This firsthand experience has helped to program and train the diverse fitness needs and demands of the Tactical Athlete. Todd is very passionate about giving back to the First Responder Community, and his experience has helped guide his methodology aimed at identifying real world areas of improvement to help these professionals meet their mission sets, and return home safely to their families.
Three hard and fast rules apply when working with Todd; Train Hard, Train Smart and Learn Together. Todd lives locally with his family, and is very proud to be able to continue to serve his community in a different role, with the sole purpose to help change people’s lives for the better.
