EmaLeigh Mathy, CFSC L1

Performance Coach

EmaLeigh graduated from the University of New England in 2019 with a BS in Medical Biology. There she played women's rugby and was a part of their inaugural varsity season. Throughout her college career, she continued to coach girls' lacrosse in Brunswick with their youth programs and volunteering with the high school team. She began her coaching journey in high school as a head coach for grades K-2. EmaLeigh is now the head coach of the girl's lacrosse team at Brunswick High School and has been there since 2020. She led them to their first state championship appearance in 10 years during their 2023 season. EmaLeigh also is one of the women's lacrosse coaches with Maine Mussels for their travel teams and local programs. 


EmaLeigh is a Brunswick High School graduate from the class of 2015. She participated in swimming and lacrosse for four years there. She served as captain for both teams her senior year, leading the teams both on and off the fields. 


EmaLeigh's goal is to help create and maintain a gym culture that people want to keep coming back to. A gym where athletes and coaches function as a team, supporting and empowering one another to be a fraction better than the day before. Her why to being a coach is to have athletes leaving feeling better than when they walked in, both physically and mentally.
