Dylan Tanguay, CFSC Level 1

Performance Coach

Born and raised in Lewiston, Maine, Dylan graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a B.S. Exercise Science – Health Fitness and joined the Coastal Performance Team in May of 2017. Throughout this experience, he has had the opportunity to work with many qualified Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Clinical Exercise Specialists, and a variety of rehab and exercise professionals. These relationships have also led to learning opportunities with various high-level medical providers. Through this experience, Dylan has a gained a great deal of knowledge in working with wide variety of populations.

Dylan is a USA Gymnastics certified coach and has been involved in Gymnastics since he began recreational classes as a young child. In 2010 and 2011, he qualified to compete at the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Championships, and pursued a coaching career throughout college.

At Coastal, Dylan is the coach of the Boys Youth Strength and Conditioning Program as well as the Youth Gymnastics Program. He also spends a great deal of time working with the post-rehab athlete as they reintroduce into sport. As the previous head coach of a men’s competitive gymnastics team, he has gained a great deal of experience in working with the youth. He understands how to keep these athletes motivated while still having a great time!


You’ll find Dylan either on the floor working with clients, eating his 3 lunches he brings to work, or swinging around on something inside the gym.


Outside Coastal, Dylan spends his free time getting outside as much as he possibly can, playing music, getting in on pickup sports with friends, and playing disc golf.
