What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishments since joining?

I’ve worked out how to exercise without hurting my lower back. Turns out increased strength means increased stability! Who knew?

What’s something in the fitness world that you have changed your mind about?

Age being a limit.

How do you motivate others?

Not sure I do but I don’t give up!

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

My mother. She’s 80 and still does month-long walking tours across Europe.

How has joining Coastal changed your life?

I’m healthier, stronger and I have lots more energy.

When we joined Coastal Performance, we expected to work hard, grow stronger and be challenged. What we didn’t expect was how much we’d enjoy the process and all the people. What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishments since joining? 

My level of engagement. I trusted that I would appreciate the depth of our trainers’ expertise, but the commitment level of the members has been a bonus.

What’s something in the fitness world that you have changed your mind about?

The benefits of cross training – I’m all in. Also the value of managed exercise regimen – by Pros!

How do you motivate others?

Through unmitigated enthusiasm.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

My dogs – all of them over the course of my life – they are unwavering optimists and always full of joy.

How do you evaluate success?

Being physically active always and forever.

How has joining Coastal changed your life?

I have always been a solitary exerciser (running and cycling) and the sense of community at Coastal has been great in expanding those habits.
